NAPU participated in the event “CAREER DAY” of the STATE UNIVERSITY “KYIV AVIATION INSTITUTE”
The National Association of Polygraph Examiners of Ukraine (NAPU) joined the large-scale event “Career Day”, which was held at the State University “Kyiv Aviation Institute” (KAI, formerly the National Aviation University).
Demonstration studies using the RUBICON polygraph
As part of the event, NAPU Chairman Volodymyr Vedmid and NAPU Board Director Ihor Ishchuk conducted a series of demonstration studies using the modern RUBICON polygraph — the latest development of Ukrainian production, which meets international standards and is used for training polygraph examiners in leading training centers.
During the demonstration, visitors had the opportunity to see how a lie detector works, what physiological reactions are recorded during testing, as well as how modern polygraph systems are used in the practice of forensic psychophysiological research, personnel security, law enforcement activities and the business sector.
Cooperation between NAPU and KAI is a strategic step in the development of Ukrainian polygraphology
It is worth noting separately that in 2025 a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the National Association of Polygraph Examiners of Ukraine and the Kyiv Aviation Institute. This document became the basis for the creation of a joint educational program for the longest polygraph examination training in Ukraine – a total of 255 academic hours (6 weeks of study).
The program provides in-depth theoretical and practical training using three main international methods:
- methodology of detecting hidden information;
- methodology of neutral test questions;
- methodology of comparison questions (Comparison Question Test, USA).
Training is conducted on modern RUBICON, Lafayette, Axciton polygraphs, and also includes modules on profiling, psychophysiology, forensic examination and psychological interviewing.
More than 30 graduates are already practicing polygraph examiners
Since the beginning of 2025, more than 30 specialists have been trained under this joint program, who today work successfully both in Ukraine and abroad. This indicates a high level of training, a systematic approach and the relevance of polygraph education in the modern world.
NAPU and KAI continue to develop cooperation aimed at improving the quality of education, developing scientific research in the field of psychophysiology and forming a new generation of Ukrainian polygraph examiners.
Innovations that build trust
The speeches of NAPU representatives at the Career Days were a vivid example of how Ukrainian polygraphology is integrated into the scientific and educational space, combining innovation, academia and practice.
Demonstrations on the RUBICON polygraph aroused considerable interest among students of technical specialties, psychologists, lawyers and future researchers, confirming that polygraphology is not only an applied science, but also a promising direction in the development of modern technologies.
The National Association of Polygraph Examiners of Ukraine thanks the leadership of the Kyiv Aviation Institute for its effective support, openness to cooperation and common goal – the development of Ukrainian science and the training of qualified specialists of the new generation.
